YPG of Ocala — Vision & Spirit of the Group
We are a fellowship of young and young-at-heart alcoholics committed to the message of recovery found in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Our purpose is simple: to carry an undiluted AA message of hope, action, and freedom to anyone who still suffers from alcoholism.
We believe sobriety is more than not drinking — it's a daily spiritual awakening through Recovery, Unity, and Service. We seek to live by the Steps, preserve the Traditions, and pass on the message as it was freely given to us.
Many of us came in with other struggles, but our common problem is alcoholism and our common solution is the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. Through sponsorship, step work, and honest fellowship, we learn how to face life as it is and grow in the care of a Higher Power.
We laugh together, serve together, and show newcomers that recovery can be full of joy and purpose. We honor the old-timers who paved the way, while keeping the flame alive for the next generation. We're not perfect — just willing — and in that willingness, lives change.
Our goal: to make YPG a place where recovery is real, service is joyful, and every alcoholic who walks through our doors can say, "I'm home."
